Blue Sky Summer Scholars Program

The Blue Sky Summer Scholars Program is residential summer program in the John Martinson Honors College at Purdue University for Ivy Tech Community College students. We are looking for motivated individuals from a wide variety of academic disciplines who are interested in experiencing life at Purdue and interdisciplinary, project-based learning.

Participants in this FULLY FUNDED PROGRAM will:

  • Be immersed in a supportive community of peers, staff, and faculty across academic disciplines and backgrounds
  • Familiarize themselves with the resources and networks at Purdue through a full-time residential experience
  • Develop awareness of interdisciplinary scholarship and research processes with lots of guidance
  • Create a project that they will present with their peers
  • Gain valuable transferrable research skills as they plan the next steps in their academic journeys

Blue Sky Summer Scholars will:

  • Enjoy a stay in a Purdue University residential hall (meals included)
  • Experience a varied and immersive residential calendar connecting scholars to an academic and social network of support

ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible to apply to be a Blue Sky Summer Scholar you must:

  • Be currently enrolled in 2+ credits at any Ivy Tech Community College Campus

  • Have a minimum GPA of 2.0 at Ivy Tech

  • Be available for the duration of the May residential program
